The instructions talk about mounting it on the side of the planer where the tape measure gauge is, well that is fine if you’re a midget or if your planer is on a bench five foot tall.

What I did was to mount it on top of the planer and connect it to the planer with a small linkage arm. It only took a few minutes to install the unit and the linkage arm and now the display is up where I can read it easily.

The nice thing about the digital version is when it says 3/4" it means 3/4", you can make all boards the same thickness without any problem.

The linkage arm is piano wire, I get it from the hobby shop on Pierce Street.

If anyone has a question, they are free to give me a call.   ALAN
